| Why Are You Asking For Funding If My Taxes Help Pay for EMS?
While we do receive some tax funding it only offsets a small percentage of the operational costs involved. We rely on membership drives like this, as well as, other types of fundraising efforts throughout the year. We also bill for our services, in order to recoup as much of our expenses as possible, so that we can continue to provide high quality EMS care.
Should I Become a Subscription Member?
If you receive ambulance services, your insurance will be billed. Often, insurance does not cover 100% of the bill, leaving an out-of-pocket balance. This is typically because of unmet deductibles and co-pay obligations. When this happens, a West End EMS membership can save you a lot of money.
What are the Terms of the Membership?
Membership is defined by two main categories: Standard Members & Senior Members. Standard members save 50%, and senior members (age 65+) save 65%, on any out-of-pocket balances.
